Greg West, born and raised in Atlanta, drew influence and inspiration from a wide variety of musical genres. His parents, both longtime fans of country music and early folk artists, Greg was always within earshot of artists such as Gordon Lightfoot, Jesse Winchester, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, The Eagles, Foghat, Molly Hatchet, The Allman Brothers, as well as country artists like George Jones, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings,
Greg has gone back to his roots and is focusing on becoming a credible singer/songwriter, his songs a reflection of his varied musical tastes and influences. Now living in Tampa, Florida, he has recently traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to work with long-time friend and musician Robin Dean Salmon and completed his second album, 7th Avenue.
7th Avenue is a mixture of songs both old and new but one thing that remains constant is the ability Greg has to tell a story that anyone can relate to and write melodies that everyone will want to sing along to.
